Nebraska High School Basketball - Lourdes Central Catholic overwhelms Sterling

The Lourdes Central Catholic Knights basketball team scored 61 points and limited the visiting Sterling Jets to 24 in the Knights non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Knights now have a 14-3 record. They play next when they travel to Axtell for a non-league game on Friday, January 31. Lourdes Central Catholic will confront a Eagles team coming off a 45-33 league loss to Doniphan West (Highland, KS). The Eagles record now stands at 5-6.

With the loss, Sterling falls to 2-12 on the campaign. The Jets host Weeping Water (Weeping Water, NE) to confront the Indians in a non-league game on Thursday, January 30. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 10-7. Weeping Water won 54-44 in their recent non-league challenge against Brownell Talbot (Omaha, NE)
