In Tuesday's non-league test, the Middletown Middie Bears (Middletown, NY) basketball squad trounced the host Minisink Valley Warriors (Slate Hill, NY), by a final score of 48-21.
Next, the Middie Bears clash with the Kingston Tigers (Kingston, NY) in a Section 9 Orange County I test, on Friday, January 31. Middletown will attempt to upgrade on its 10-1 season record. The Tigers come into the test with a 4-8 record after their 37-30 non-league loss to Our Lady of Lourdes (Poughkeepsie, NY).
The Warriors (4-7) will now prepare for their test against Valley Central (Montgomery, NY). The Vikings come into the Section 9 Orange County II test with a 5-6 record. In their last test, Valley Central bounced Chester (Chester, NY), 52-33, in a non-league test.
