Virginia High School Basketball - Western Branch nudges Oscar Smith

January 28, 2025: Chesapeake, VA 23320

The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Western Branch Bruins (Chesapeake, VA) and the host Oscar Smith Tigers (Chesapeake, VA), observed Western Branch's basketball team edge Oscar Smith by a score of 41-35.

The Bruins (8-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Churchland (Portsmouth, VA). The Truckers come into the non-league challenge with a 3-10 record. In their last challenge, Churchland edged Booker T. Washington (Norfolk, VA), 45-6, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Tigers encounter the Nansemond River Warriors (Suffolk, VA) in a Southeastern challenge, on Friday, January 31. Oscar Smith will attempt to improve on its 6-7 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 11-2 record after their 55-31 league win over Indian River (Chesapeake, VA).
