In Tuesday's non-league test, the Gaston Day Spartans (Gastonia, NC) basketball squad defeated the host Legion Collegiate Academy Lancers (Rock Hill, SC), by a final score of 60-43.
Next, the Spartans clash with the Westminster Catawba Christian Indians (Rock Hill, SC) in a test, on Friday, January 31. Gaston Day will attempt to upgrade on its 8-4 season record.
The Lancers (4-11) will now prepare for their test against Rabun Gap-Nacoochee (Rabun Gap, GA). The Eagles come into the non-league test with a 1-3 record. In their last test, Rabun Gap-Nacoochee overcame Asheville School (Independent) (Asheville, NC), 48-46, in a league test.
