Fans at Tuesday's league battle between the Alameda Hornets (Alameda, CA) and the visiting Tennyson Lancers (Hayward, CA), saw Alameda's soccer squad hold off Tennyson by a count of 2-1.

The Hornets (4-4) will now prepare for their battle against Castro Valley (Castro Valley, CA). The Trojans enter the battle with a 5-7 record. In their last battle, Castro Valley was edged by San Leandro (San Leandro, CA), 6-1, in a league battle.

Next up, the Lancers confront the Bishop O'Dowd Dragons (Oakland, CA) in a non-league battle, on Friday, January 31. Tennyson will attempt to upgrade on its 8-7 season record. The Dragons enter the battle with a 7-1 record after their 7-0 league win over Arroyo (San Lorenzo, CA).
