    North Pole Patriots (North Pole, AK) boosters left the game satisfied Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Ketchikan Kings (Ketchikan, AK), 49-42 in a non-league match.

    With the victory, North Pole upgrades its record to 6-6 on the year. The Patriots host Lathrop (Fairbanks, AK) to confront the Malemutes in a 4A Mid Alaska game on Saturday, January 31. The Malemutes go into the game with a record of 9-1. Lathrop won 59-45 in their recent non-league outing against Barrow (Utqiagvik, AK)

    The Kings (6-8) will now prepare for their outing against West Valley (Fairbanks, AK). The Wolf Pack enter the non-league outing with a 9-1 record. In their last outing, West Valley got by Maine-Endwell (Endwell, NY), 56-48, in a non-league outing.
