In Saturday's non-league outing, the Columbus Cardinals (Columbus, WI) basketball squad felled the visiting Platteville Hillmen (Platteville, WI), by a margin of 56-46.
The Cardinals (11-3) will now prepare for their outing against Luther Prep (Watertown, WI). The Phoenix go into the Capitol - North outing with a 4-8 record. In their last outing, Luther Prep thwarted Lake Mills (Lake Mills, WI), 57-47, in a league outing.
The Hillmen now own a 9-7 record. They play next when they travel to Prairie du Chien for a Southwest Wisconsin outing on Friday, February 4.
