The Takini Skyhawks basketball team (Howes, SD), dropped 49-36 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Flandreau Indian Indians (Flandreau, SD)
The Indians now possess a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sioux Valley for a A Region 2 battle on Tuesday, February 1. Flandreau Indian will battle a Cossacks team coming off a 59-47 non-league win over Beresford (Beresford, SD). The Cossacks record now stands at 10-4.
The Skyhawks (2-8) will now prepare for their battle against Pine Ridge (Pine Ridge, SD). The Thorpes come into the non-league battle with a 5-7 record. In their last battle, Pine Ridge dropped by Crow Creek (Stephan, SD), 74-44, in a non-league battle.
