American History Bald Eagles (Newark, NJ) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Golda Och Academy (West Orange, NJ), 41-37 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, American History improves its record to 8-7 on the campaign. The Bald Eagles travel to Hoboken (Hoboken, NJ) to play the Redwings in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, January 31. The Redwings come into the challenge with a record of 14-4. Hoboken won 46-35 in their recent non-league challenge against Beloved Community Charter (Jersey City, NJ)

Next up, the play the Weequahic Indians (Newark, NJ) in a Super Essex - Freedom challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Golda Och Academy will attempt to improve on its 2-10 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 7-10 record after their 69-47 league win over Hillside (Hillside, NJ).
