Augusta Beavers (Augusta, WI) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Flambeau Falcons (Tony, WI), 59-57 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Augusta upgrades its record to 2-16 on the season. The Beavers host Eleva-Strum (Strum, WI) to play the Cardinals in a Dairyland - Large bout on Friday, February 2. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 2-15. Eleva-Strum won 70-58 in their recent non-league bout against Lake Holcombe (Holcombe, WI)

Next up, the Falcons play the New Auburn Trojans (New Auburn, WI) in a Lakeland - East bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Flambeau will attempt to upgrade on its 11-6 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 11-4 record after their 49-36 non-league win over Shell Lake (Shell Lake, WI).
