The Buchholz Bobcats basketball team scored 55 points and restricted the visiting Newberry Panthers to 53 in the Bobcats non-league victory on Monday.

The Bobcats now sport a 15-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Santa Fe for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 30. Buchholz will battle a Raiders team coming off a 63-47 non-league win over Dunnellon (Dunnellon, FL). The Raiders record now stands at 10-12.

The Panthers (13-6) will now prepare for their contest against Gainesville (Gainesville, FL). The Hurricanes come into the non-league contest with a 12-11 record. In their last contest, Gainesville was nudged by Lake Region (Eagle Lake, FL), 70-64, in a non-league contest.
