The Deer Creek-Mackinaw Chiefs basketball team (Mackinaw, IL), was toppled 63-45 in Monday's non-league battle with the host Dunlap Eagles (Dunlap, IL)
The Eagles now possess a 10-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Canton for a Mid-Illini battle on Wednesday, January 31. Dunlap will confront a Little Giants team coming off a 44-43 non-league win over Geneseo (Geneseo, IL). The Little Giants record now stands at 8-16.
The Chiefs (6-17) will now prepare for their battle against Lexington (Lexington, IL). The Minutemen come into the Heart of Illinois battle with a 18-6 record. In their last battle, Lexington beat Fisher (Fisher, IL), 72-54, in a league battle.
