Franklin Indians (Reisterstown, MD) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Hammond Golden Bears (Columbia, MD), 66-62 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Franklin upgrades its record to 16-1 on the campaign. The Indians host Milford Mill Academy (Baltimore, MD) to play the Millers in a Baltimore County 1 bout on Wednesday, January 31. The Millers come into the bout with a record of 8-8. Milford Mill Academy lost 54-51 in their recent non-league bout against Concordia Prep (Towson, MD)

Next up, the Golden Bears play the Wilde Lake Wildecats (Columbia, MD) in a Howard County bout, on Wednesday, January 31. Hammond will attempt to upgrade on its 4-9 season record.
