In Monday's non-league match, the host Vermillion Tanagers basketball team scored a tight 61-60 triumph over the Madison Bulldogs.
In their next game, the Tanagers meet the Groton Tigers (Groton, SD) in a non-league match, on Friday, February 2. Vermillion will attempt to better on its 9-4 season record.
With the defeat, Madison moves to 6-7 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Beresford (Beresford, SD) to meet the Watchdogs in a non-league match on Thursday, February 1.
