Montville Mustangs (Montville, NJ) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Whippany Park Wildcats (Whippany, NJ), 60-59 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Montville upgrades its record to 9-9 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Morris Catholic (Denville, NJ) to play the Crusaders in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 1. The Crusaders go into the bout with a record of 17-1. Morris Catholic won 82-68 in their recent non-league bout against Immaculata (Somerville, NJ)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Mount Olive Marauders (Flanders, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Whippany Park will attempt to upgrade on its 6-11 season record. The Marauders go into the bout with a 10-7 record after their 64-33 non-league win over Whippany Park (Whippany, NJ).
