Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Morgan Huskies (Clinton, CT) and the host Portland Highlanders (Portland, CT), saw Morgan's basketball squad overcome Portland by a tally of 46-33.

With the victory, Morgan improves its record to 12-1 on the campaign. The Huskies travel to Cromwell (Cromwell, CT) to play the Panthers in a Shoreline challenge on Wednesday, January 31. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 11-2. Cromwell won 75-53 in their recent non-league challenge against Avon (Avon, CT)

Next up, the Highlanders play the Old Lyme Wildcats (Old Lyme, CT) in a Shoreline challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Portland will attempt to improve on its 4-10 season record.
