Illinois High School Basketball - Proviso West knocked off by Proviso East

The Proviso East Pirates basketball team scored 72 points and held the host Proviso West Panthers to 61 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Monday.
The Pirates now sport a 13-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Berwyn/Cicero Morton for a West Suburban - Gold contest on Tuesday, January 30. Proviso East will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 66-55 league loss to Willowbrook (Villa Park, IL). The Mustangs record now stands at 3-17.
The Panthers (8-13) will now prepare for their contest against Oak Park-River Forest (Oak Park, IL). The Huskies enter the West Suburban - Silver contest with a 6-12 record. In their last contest, Oak Park-River Forest was defeated by Downers Grove North (Downers Grove, IL), 60-47, in a league contest.
