Westerly Bulldogs (Westerly, RI) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Classical Purples (Providence, RI), 58-28 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Westerly upgrades its record to 8-1 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to East Providence (East Providence, RI) to play the Townies in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 31. The Townies go into the bout with a record of 4-6. East Providence lost 44-26 in their recent non-league bout against North Kingstown (North Kingstown, RI)

Next up, the Purples play the Smithfield Sentinels (Esmond, RI) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 2. Classical will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record. The Sentinels go into the bout with a 2-5 record after their 62-31 non-league loss to Cranston East (Cranston, RI).
