Aquinas Knights (Louisville, OH) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Chaney Cowboys (Youngstown, OH), 51-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Aquinas upgrades its record to 7-9 on the season. The Knights host Mogadore (Mogadore, OH) to play the Wildcats in a Portage Trail bout on Wednesday, January 31. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 8-10. Mogadore won 59-35 in their recent non-league bout against Windham (Windham, OH)

Next up, the Cowboys play the East Dragons (Akron, OH) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 1. Chaney will attempt to upgrade on its 11-8 season record. The Dragons go into the bout with a 1-14 record after their 69-26 league loss to Buchtel (Akron, OH).
