Nansemond-Suffolk Academy Saints (Suffolk, VA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Atlantic Shores Christian Seahawks (Chesapeake, VA), 45-35 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Nansemond-Suffolk Academy upgrades its record to 2-11 on the campaign. The Saints travel to Hampton Roads Academy (Newport News, VA) to play the Navigators in a VISAA Division II bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Navigators come into the bout with a record of 9-6. Hampton Roads Academy won 36-31 in their recent non-league bout against Summit Christian Academy (Yorktown, VA)

Next up, the Seahawks play the StoneBridge Cavaliers (Chesapeake, VA) in a Metropolitan bout, on Thursday, February 1. Atlantic Shores Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 7-5 season record. The Cavaliers come into the bout with a 9-5 record after their 29-25 league win over Greenbrier Christian Academy (Chesapeake, VA).
