The Mason County Royals basketball team (Maysville, KY), was overwhelmed 66-39 in Monday's non-league battle with the host Bourbon County Colonels (Paris, KY)

The Colonels now possess a 5-15 record. They put it on the line next when they host Paris for a District 40 battle on Friday, February 2. Bourbon County will confront a Greyhounds team coming off a 70-13 league loss to George Rogers Clark (Winchester, KY). The Greyhounds record now stands at 4-15.

The Royals (12-8) will now prepare for their battle against Montgomery County (Mt. Sterling, KY). The Indians come into the non-league battle with a 12-7 record. In their last battle, Montgomery County was overwhelmed by Bracken County (Brooksville, KY), 80-49, in a non-league battle.
