Brimfield Indians (Brimfield, IL) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Elmwood Trojans (Elmwood, IL), 66-59 in a league bout.

With the victory, Brimfield upgrades its record to 19-7 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Illini Bluffs (Glasford, IL) to play the Tigers in a Tomahawk bout on Thursday, February 1. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 22-4. Illini Bluffs won 43-39 in their recent league bout against Peoria Heights (Peoria Heights, IL)

Next up, the Trojans play the Lewistown Indians (Lewistown, IL) in a Prairieland bout, on Thursday, February 1. Elmwood will attempt to upgrade on its 18-6 season record. The Indians come into the bout with a 14-13 record after their 68-13 non-league win over Bushnell-Prairie City (Bushnell, IL).
