Chariho Chargers (Wood River Junction, RI) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Mt. Pleasant Kilties (Providence, RI), 64-41 in a league bout.

With the victory, Chariho upgrades its record to 12-3 on the campaign. The Chargers host Mt. Hope (Bristol, RI) to play the Huskies in a Division 2 bout on Wednesday, January 31. The Huskies come into the bout with a record of 6-10. Mt. Hope won 55-21 in their recent league bout against Woonsocket (Woonsocket, RI)

Next up, the Kilties play the Cumberland Clippers (Cumberland, RI) in a Division 2 bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Mt. Pleasant will attempt to upgrade on its 1-11 season record. The Clippers come into the bout with a 7-7 record after their 58-50 league win over Cranston East (Cranston, RI).
