Oberlin The Phoenix (Oberlin, OH) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Christian Community Warriors (North Eaton, OH), 46-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Oberlin upgrades its record to 2-14 on the season. The The Phoenix travel to Brookside (Sheffield, OH) to play the Cardinals in a Lorain County 8 bout on Wednesday, January 31. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 4-12. Brookside lost 59-16 in their recent league bout against Columbia (Columbia Station, OH)

Next up, the Warriors play the Open Door Christian Patriots (Elyria, OH) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 1. Christian Community will attempt to upgrade on its 8-9 season record.
