East Brunswick Bears (East Brunswick, NJ) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Edison Eagles (Edison, NJ), 52-33 in a league bout.

With the win, East Brunswick upgrades its record to 13-19 on the season. The Bears travel to South Brunswick (Monmouth Junction, NJ) to play the Vikings in a Greater Middlesex - Red bout on Thursday, February 1. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 9-9. South Brunswick won 60-37 in their recent league bout against Old Bridge (Old Bridge, NJ)

Next up, the Eagles play the Perth Amboy Panthers (Perth Amboy, NJ) in a Greater Middlesex - Red bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Edison will attempt to upgrade on its 7-14 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 5-13 record after their 42-32 non-league win over Carteret (Carteret, NJ).
