Elk Mound Mounders (Elk Mound, WI) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Regis Ramblers (Eau Claire, WI), 53-43 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Elk Mound upgrades its record to 20-0 on the season. The Mounders host Colfax (Colfax, WI) to play the Vikings in a Dunn-St. Croix bout on Thursday, February 1. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 14-6. Colfax won 57-32 in their recent league bout against Spring Valley (Spring Valley, WI)

Next up, the Ramblers play the Cadott Hornets (Cadott, WI) in a Cloverbelt - West bout, on Thursday, February 1. Regis will attempt to upgrade on its 14-5 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 10-10 record after their 78-53 non-league loss to Cameron (Cameron, WI).
