The Spruce Mountain Phoenix basketball team scored 66 points and restricted the host Monmouth Academy Mustangs to 43 in the Phoenix non-league victory on Monday.

The Phoenix now sport a 12-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mount Abram for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 31. Spruce Mountain will battle a Roadrunners team coming off a 55-28 league loss to Winthrop (Winthrop, ME). The Roadrunners record now stands at 5-8.

The Mustangs (5-9) will now prepare for their contest against Boothbay (Boothbay Harbor, ME). The Seahawks come into the C South contest with a 5-10 record. In their last contest, Boothbay was routed by Madison (Madison, ME), 59-13, in a league contest.
