In Monday's non-league outing, the Norcom Greyhounds (Portsmouth, VA) basketball squad edged the visiting Woodside Wolverines (Newport News, VA), by a count of 44-41.

The Greyhounds (11-7) will now prepare for their outing against Norview (Norfolk, VA). The Pilots go into the Eastern outing with a 11-5 record. In their last outing, Norview held off Manor (Portsmouth, VA), 72-45, in a league outing.

The Wolverines now hold a 8-6 record. They play next when they travel to Denbigh for a Peninsula outing on Tuesday, January 30. Woodside will clash with a Patriots squad coming off a 93-8 league loss to Hampton (Hampton, VA). The Patriots record now stands at 1-14.
