The Watseka Warriors basketball team (Watseka, IL), was nudged 44-40 in Monday's league battle with the visiting Salt Fork Storm (Sidell, IL)
The Storm now possess a 21-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Oakwood for a Vermilion Valley battle on Thursday, February 1. Salt Fork will confront a Comets team coming off a 49-39 league win over Iroquois West (Gilman, IL). The Comets record now stands at 11-17.
The Warriors (22-3) will now prepare for their battle against Hoopeston (Hoopeston, IL). The Cornjerkers come into the Vermilion Valley battle with a 15-12 record. In their last battle, Hoopeston edged Armstrong (Armstrong, IL), 53-50, in a league battle.
