In Monday's non-league outing, the St. Agnes Academy Stars (Memphis, TN) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Westminster Academy Defenders (Memphis, TN), by a count of 57-25.

The Stars (11-9) will now prepare for their outing against Briarcrest Christian (Eads, TN). The Saints go into the Division II-AA West outing with a 13-10 record. In their last outing, Briarcrest Christian smashed St. Benedict at Auburndale (Cordova, TN), 61-31, in a league outing.

The Defenders now hold a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Harding Academy for a non-league outing on Thursday, February 1. Westminster Academy will meet a Lions team coming off a 56-44 league loss to St. George's (Collierville, TN). The Lions record now stands at 11-11.
