Wapsie Valley Warriors (Fairbank, IA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Tripoli Panthers (Tripoli, IA), 43-21 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Wapsie Valley upgrades its record to 6-8 on the campaign. The Warriors host Jesup (Jesup, IA) to play the J-Hawks in a North Iowa Cedar - East bout on Tuesday, January 30. The J-Hawks come into the bout with a record of 13-3. Jesup won 76-38 in their recent league bout against Oelwein (Oelwein, IA)

Next up, the Panthers play the North Tama Red Hawks (Traer, IA) in a Iowa Star bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Tripoli will attempt to upgrade on its 2-16 season record. The Red Hawks come into the bout with a 6-9 record after their 46-40 league win over Baxter (Baxter, IA).
