The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the Bancroft Bulldogs (Worcester, MA) and the visiting Pingree Highlanders (South Hamilton, MA), observed Bancroft's basketball team edge Pingree by a score of 84-80.

The Bulldogs (11-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Lexington Christian Academy (Lexington, MA). The Lions come into the Eastern Independent challenge with a 11-0 record. In their last challenge, Lexington Christian Academy edged Austin Prep (Reading, MA), 58-51, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Highlanders encounter the Thayer Academy Tigers (Braintree, MA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 1. Pingree will attempt to improve on its 1-5 season record.
