In Wednesday's league contest, the host Mount Vernon Bulldogs basketball team scored a good 73-64 triumph over the Burlington-Edison Tigers.
The Bulldogs (7-9) will now prepare for their contest against Meridian (Bellingham, WA). The Trojans go into the 1A/2A/3A Northwest contest with a 11-6 record. In their last contest, Meridian topped Ferndale (Ferndale, WA), 52-39, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Tigers battle the Sedro-Woolley Cubs (Sedro-Woolley, WA) in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest contest, on Friday, January 31. Burlington-Edison will attempt to better on its 10-6 season record. The Cubs go into the contest with a 10-4 record after their 77-56 league win over Sehome (Bellingham, WA).
