In Wednesday's non-league test, the South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls (Norwood, NC) basketball squad got by the host Southwestern Randolph Cougars (Asheboro, NC), by a score of 53-46.
Next, the Rowdy Rebel Bulls encounter the Mount Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, NC) in a 1A/2A Yadkin Valley test, on Friday, January 31. South Stanly will attempt to improve on its 13-6 season record. The Tigers come into the test with a 11-8 record after their 79-60 non-league loss to North Rowan (Spencer, NC).
The Cougars (7-13) will now prepare for their test against Randleman (Randleman, NC). The Tigers come into the 1A/2A Piedmont test with a 16-1 record. In their last test, Randleman held off Eastern Randolph (Ramseur, NC), 80-72, in a league test.
