The Jefferson City Jays basketball squad (Jefferson City, MO), was nudged 48-42 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the visiting Smith-Cotton Tigers (Sedalia, MO)
With the victory, Smith-Cotton advances its record to 13-5 on the year. The Tigers host Battle (Columbia, MO) to meet the Spartans in a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 4. The Spartans enter the battle with a record of 7-9.
The Jays now own a 5-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Warrensburg for a non-league battle on Thursday, January 30. Jefferson City will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 52-48 non-league loss to KIPP Legacy (Kansas City, MO). The Tigers record now stands at 5-11.
