The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Pomfret School Griffins (Pomfret, CT) and the visiting Austin Prep Cougars (Reading, MA), witnessed Pomfret School's ice hockey team defeat Austin Prep by a final score of 7-1.

The Griffins (12-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Canterbury School (New Milford, CT). The Saints come into the non-league challenge with a 10-9 record. In their last challenge, Canterbury School got by Albany Academy for Boys (Albany, NY), 4-3, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Cougars battle the Buckingham Browne & Nichols Knights (Cambridge, MA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 31. Austin Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 6-10 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 3-14 record after their 5-1 league loss to Groton School (Groton, MA).
