In Wednesday's league contest, the host Sandy Spring Friends Wildebeests basketball team scored a big 62-36 win over the Model Secondary School for the Deaf Eagles.

The Wildebeests (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against St. Anselm's Abbey (Washington, DC). The Panthers come into the non-league contest with a 8-6 record. In their last contest, St. Anselm's Abbey smashed Georgetown Day (Washington, DC), 73-63, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Maryland School for the Deaf Orioles (Frederick, MD) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, February 1. Model Secondary School for the Deaf will attempt to better on its 1-13 season record.
