The McClatchy Lions (Sacramento, CA) basketball felled the host Armijo Royals (Fairfield, CA), 64-49 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Lions (9-4) will now prepare for their test against Monterey Trail (Elk Grove, CA). The Mustangs go into the Metropolitan Conference test with a 6-8 record. In their last test, Monterey Trail thwarted River City (West Sacramento, CA), 94-35, in a league test.
The Royals now own a 1-6 record. They play next when they host West Campus for a non-league test on Wednesday, January 4. Armijo will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 73-68 non-league loss to Mira Loma (Sacramento, CA). The Warriors record now stands at 1-7.
