Kentucky High School Basketball - Caverna fells Marion County

January 3, 2023: Horse Cave, KY 42749

Caverna Colonels (Horse Cave, KY) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Marion County Knights (Lebanon, KY), 59-44 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Caverna upgrades its record to 11-5 on the season. The Colonels travel to Hart County (Munfordville, KY) to play the Raiders in a District 18 bout on Friday, January 6. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 4-5.

Next up, the Knights play the Russell County Lakers (Russell Springs, KY) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 5. Marion County will attempt to upgrade on its 0-9 season record. The Lakers go into the bout with a 4-5 record after their 79-66 league loss to Monroe County (Tompkinsville, KY).
