Central Catholic Raiders (Lawrence, MA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Haverhill Hillies (Haverhill, MA), 67-53 in a league bout.

With the victory, Central Catholic upgrades its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Andover (Andover, MA) to play the Golden Warriors in a Merrimack Valley - Large bout on Friday, January 6. The Golden Warriors come into the bout with a record of 3-3. Andover won 66-42 in their recent non-league bout against Dracut (Dracut, MA)

Next up, the Hillies play the Tewksbury Memorial Redmen (Tewksbury, MA) in a Merrimack Valley - Small bout, on Friday, January 6. Haverhill will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Redmen come into the bout with a 1-5 record after their 57-41 non-league loss to Lowell (Lowell, MA).
