Central Catholic Buttons (San Antonio, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Lutheran Mustangs (San Antonio, TX), 83-44 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Central Catholic upgrades its record to 16-3 on the season. The Buttons travel to Steele (Cibolo, TX) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Friday, January 6. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 13-9. Steele lost 63-56 in their recent non-league bout against Clear Falls (League City, TX)

Next up, the Mustangs confront the Giddings State Mustangs (Giddings, TX) in a TAPPS 3A District 4 challenge, on Tuesday, January 10. Lutheran will attempt to improve on its 5-11 season record.
