Dixon Dukes & Duchesses (Dixon, IL) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Geneseo Maple Leafs (Geneseo, IL), 55-34 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Dixon upgrades its record to 10-6 on the campaign. The Dukes & Duchesses travel to South Beloit (South Beloit, IL) to play the Sobos in a non-league bout on Friday, January 6. The Sobos come into the bout with a record of 11-2. South Beloit won 49-32 in their recent non-league bout against North Boone (Poplar Grove, IL)

Next up, the Maple Leafs play the Sterling Golden Warriors (Sterling, IL) in a Western Big 6 bout, on Friday, January 6. Geneseo will attempt to upgrade on its 0-13 season record. The Golden Warriors come into the bout with a 13-3 record after their 62-56 non-league win over Mt. Zion (Mt. Zion, IL).
