The Elmwood-Murdock Knights (Murdock, NE) basketball nipped the visiting Sacred Heart Irish (Falls City, NE), 43-38 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Knights (6-3) will now prepare for their test against Weeping Water (Weeping Water, NE). The Indians go into the non-league test with a 1-6 record. In their last test, Weeping Water was tipped by Conestoga (Murray, NE), 65-34, in a non-league test.

The Irish now own a 4-4 record. They play next when they host Diller-Odell for a D2 District 1 test on Friday, January 6. Sacred Heart will encounter a Griffin squad coming off a 44-35 non-league loss to Exeter-Milligan (Exeter, NE). The Griffin record now stands at 4-6.
