French Settlement Lions (French Settlement, LA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Franklinton Demons (Franklinton, LA), 84-58 in a non-league bout.

With the win, French Settlement upgrades its record to 13-2 on the season. The Lions host St. Paul's (Covington, LA) to play the Wolves in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 5. The Wolves go into the bout with a record of 10-5. St. Paul's lost 56-42 in their recent non-league bout against Fairhope (Fairhope, AL)

Next up, the Demons play the Lakeshore (Mandeville, LA) in a 4A District 8 bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Franklinton will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record. The go into the bout with a 10-3 record after their 69-62 non-league loss to Whitewater (Fayetteville, GA).
