McMullen County Cowboys (Tilden, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Goliad Tigers (Goliad, TX), 39-33 in a non-league bout.

With the win, McMullen County upgrades its record to 21-2 on the season. The Cowboys host Aransas Pass (Aransas Pass, TX) to clash with the Panthers in a non-league bout on Friday, January 6. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 10-12. Aransas Pass won 64-63 in their recent non-league bout against Gregory-Portland (Portland, TX)

Next up, the Tigers clash with the San Diego Vaqueros (San Diego, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 6. Goliad will attempt to upgrade on its 8-6 season record. The Vaqueros go into the bout with a 14-5 record after their 68-41 non-league win over Dilley (Dilley, TX).
