Veritas Academy (Austin, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Hill Country Christian School of Austin Knights (Austin, TX), 50-27 in a league bout.

With the win, Veritas Academy upgrades its record to 14-4 on the season. The host John Paul II (New Braunfels, TX) to play the Guardians in a TAPPS 4A District 3 bout on Friday, January 6. The Guardians go into the bout with a record of 7-14. John Paul II won 68-55 in their recent non-league bout against Episcopal (Bellaire, TX)

Next up, the Knights play the Brentwood Christian Bears (Austin, TX) in a TAPPS 4A District 3 bout, on Friday, January 6. Hill Country Christian School of Austin will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Bears go into the bout with a 15-7 record after their 81-47 league win over John Paul II (Corpus Christi, TX).
