Woodgrove Wolverines (Purcellville, VA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host James Wood Colonels (Winchester, VA), 69-26 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Woodgrove upgrades its record to 3-5 on the season. The Wolverines host South Lakes (Reston, VA) to clash with the Seahawks in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 5. The Seahawks go into the bout with a record of 8-3. South Lakes won 61-35 in their recent non-league bout against Independence (Ashburn, VA)

Next up, the Colonels clash with the Meridian Mustangs (Falls Church, VA) in a Northwestern bout, on Wednesday, January 4. James Wood will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 5-5 record after their 45-43 non-league loss to Herndon (Herndon, VA).
