Texas High School Basketball - Plains can't hold off Kingdom Prep Academy

The Kingdom Prep Academy Warriors basketball team scored 66 points and held the host Plains Cowboys to 61 in the Warriors non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Warriors now sport a 10-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Southcrest Christian for a TAPPS 2A District 1 contest on Friday, January 6. Kingdom Prep Academy will battle a team coming off a 57-54 non-league loss to Kress (Kress, TX). The record now stands at 9-10.

The Cowboys (17-4) will now prepare for their contest against Ropes (Ropesville, TX). The Eagles enter the 2A Region I District 5 contest with a 11-5 record. In their last contest, Ropes was nudged by Tahoka (Tahoka, TX), 47-37, in a league contest.
