Mt. Pleasant Kilties (Providence, RI) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host North Kingstown Skippers (North Kingstown, RI), 60-44 in a league bout.

With the victory, Mt. Pleasant upgrades its record to 1-2 on the campaign. The Kilties host Westerly (Westerly, RI) to play the Bulldogs in a State Championship bout on Thursday, January 5. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 4-3. Westerly lost 78-53 in their recent league bout against Central (Providence, RI)

Next up, the Skippers play the Central Knights (Providence, RI) in a State Championship bout, on Thursday, January 5. North Kingstown will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Knights come into the bout with a 5-0 record after their 78-53 league win over Westerly (Westerly, RI).
