The Scarborough Spartans (Houston, TX) basketball nipped the host Northside Panthers (Houston, TX), 61-56 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Spartans (1-12) will now prepare for their test against Chavez (Houston, TX). The Lobos go into the non-league test with a 7-14 record. In their last test, Chavez got by Milby (Houston, TX), 52-35, in a non-league test.
The Panthers now own a 0-13 record. They play next when they travel to Sterling for a 5A Region III District 19 test on Friday, January 6. Northside will encounter a Raiders squad coming off a 73-48 league win over Waltrip (Houston, TX). The Raiders record now stands at 8-3.
